One prominent architectural historian recently noted, "Bungaree Station is a near perfect record of its history", a living mirror of Australia's pastoral history since 1841.
As with the heritage tours and farming activities available, the choice of accommodation is yours. You can sleep in one of the self contained heritage cottages, including the Council Chambers, The Lodge, Manager's House, Men's Kitchen, Farm House and the Stallion Box.
For your comfort you not only receive country breakfast ingredients, but you'll find the cottages include modern kitchens and bathrooms as well as complete bedding, towels and basic toiletries. There are wood fires are found in all of the cottages. Barbecue facilities available, or on request lunch and a three course evening meal prepared in the Homestead kitchen will be delivered straight to your cottage.
Close by the Station Sore with all its good and chattles of a by-gone era plus home made produce and Clare Valley wine, you'll find a stone building surrounding a central courtyard. Instantly recognisable as the original stables and groom quarter's, it has now been renovated to include guest accommodation, a fully equipped gym plus servery and conference rooms. The various horse drawn and vintage motor vehicles are all in adjoining building for you viewing pleasure.
