The
Lodge

During the 1850's the Lodge was the first indication of a settlement 12 km north of Clare as indicated by one writer -
After
driving north from Clare you reach Bungaree domain. The parks on each side of
the road were studded with large spreading trees and the grassy lawns and undulation
nature of the ground gave an English appearance to the whole. A further drive
of two miles (3.22 km) took us to the South Lodge, which is situated on rising
ground.
Today the Lodge
remains the most southern building on the property and this charming 2 bedroom
cottage has been restored to include modern conveniences for guests' comfort.
